This year Fourth of July boating in the Newport Harbor could best be described as "sticky". We rarely get humidity on our coast but this year we were unseasonably warm for July. The inland heat resulted in low cloud cover at the beach for most of the weekend with higher than normal humidity levels. Thursday evening was capped off by the Newport Dunes fireworks display.
